My south of the river bestie Lauren, loves D S. Unlike me, she is super fit and slim and can blithely ignore a counter full of tempting cakes and delicacies. So when she suggests meeting there for coffee, I am instantly mesmerised by the cannoli, the profiteroles, the tartlets and rum-soaked babas, while her focus is on the healthy vego salad rolls on display. She assures me she regularly drops in for a container of their in-house gelato, but I’m somewhat skeptical that in her house of ever-ravenous teens, she actually eats any of it.
What a pleasure it always is to swing into Dolce Salato in South Fremantle on the way home from South Beach dog beach. Simply the best coffee, food and service in Fremantle. You won 't find any better. The staff are like the coffee the best! Take Indy and Denzl today. Growing up with Italian gelato in Germany, I have always thought that despite being a hot country, Australia is just so lacking in variety of flavours and also quality of product when it comes to ice cream. Dolce Salato absolutely stand out with their traditional varieties and authentic flavours, as well as pure quality of the often harder to get right one such as pistachio. By far the best treat in town! And probably beyond.
No wonder this restaurant was full of customers for a traditional Italian breakfast. Cosy aircon, clean and nice environment. Most of all the staffs are friendly, and the Italian foods are good too. I enjoyed the breakfast with a glass of Long Macchiato. I waited untill most outdoor customers are gone before I took the photo. What a long wait, haha.

I am a huge fan of the food and coffee here. However the last couple of visits I have frustrated customers not being served. I just went to get my Sunday coffee and four people in front of me ending up leaving because they weren't being served. I really think this place is fantastic and would hate to see it go under.
Great Freo café. Always buzzing, loads of friendly staff and quick service. The pizza are tasty and made with good ingredients, thick but crusty bases. The cakes look amazing and they have a great selection. Coffee is also really good. Great spot to visit.
Nice coffee and really delicious Italian cookies and cakes. Canoli and tiramisu highly recommended. I've had their apple strudel at a friend's place earlier and it's a shame they don't sell single portions for patrons woo choose to eat at the cafe.
Heaven for carb lovers! Try the pizza slices, they are delicious. I had one with proscuitto and rocket and I am already planning a change in grocery shopping routine to have an excuse to go back here. Or maybe I should join the gym opposite?

Delicious cakes and pastries. Great tasting tiramisu and chocolate mousse. Pizzas selection are good and lasagne are yummy too. Staff are very helpful and friendly.
