Evening visit for pizza and wine. My pizza was excellent and my partner's lasagna was reportedly good. Ambiance is great this time of year in Leipzig, even with the occasional rain storm. However, when I ordered the house red wine, .5 liter, what got was the much more expensive Shiraz. No explanation why the server chose this and no attempt to adjust the bill. This was not a language issue as I spoke in German and also pointed to what I wanted on the menu. Any visits in the future will include a clear understanding of what I want prior to the order being submitted.
A waiter service was horrible! The waiter was super unfriendly and he didn’t serve us until I reminded him a couple of times. Also, he told me to get a baby chair sitting at a corner of the restaurant by myself for my baby, and...he brought all the dishes all together to save time. The worst thing was he cheated a chip amount at the bill payment! Wine served tasted like being diluted with water. I never come back to the restaurant, not recommendable!
Visited on a short stop in Leipzig and actually had very low expectations. To be honest we thought it would be a tourist trap but it was not at all. Service was polite and very quick - the kids had large portions of spaghetti Bolognese and Pizza Salami - we had lasagne, spaghetti Aglio e Olio and pasta with Tuna all was good and prices reasonable. They do not pretend to be more than they are but it is OK
With a very modern touch this restaurant oozes charm and is a great dining location situated close to the christmas market. The food is incredibly well made and portion sizes are just right (even if they may seem small at first glance). Wait staff is helpful and friendly.

Good italian with varied classic menu of pizza, pasta, antipasti, mains and more. Tomato soup was fantastic with fresh bread. Pizza was nice . Gnocci is better than the pasta choices. Seafood or meat Pasta was average. House wine main courses, soups...we paid for people.
Poor service, overall poor food. Expensive for what it was. My wife's pasta carbonara was tasteless and my liver was overcooked to the point of being powdery. Service was awful. The price was exactly the same as eating in the Auerbachs Keller!
On the street where this restaurant is, you have several possibilities. We have selected the italian food, which was good decision. Staff is friendly. The food is excellent, and we got it very quick. I recommend to all italian food lover.
The staff were really nice and they really tried to communicate with us. We were having trouble with a german restaurant because of their rudeness, and this small italian restaurant saved us.

With great location, service and food, Dolce Vita is a good option in Leipzig city center! We went two times in the weekend, good panacota and octopus salad!
