I wish I could give this place five stars because I really enjoy the food there. However, their service went downhill last year. When my husband and I stopped for dinner in May, we waited for one and a half hours to get a burned meal. Yes, ?dolsot? can really get hot, but never at the point of burning the food! The manager told me it would take another hour to give me a replacement. They suggested eating the burned bibimbap for free. Although we were really disappointed by the quality of the service, we came back to lunch a few weeks ago. They didn't burn our food this time, but it took more than an hour to get our food. Please wait at least one hour if you want to dive.
My fiancé and I really enjoy the food here. Tonight May 6, 2022), we ordered 1) Beef Bulgogi and 2) LA Kalbi short ribs) extra spicy #5). We arrived at home to realize that we only received 1 LA Kalbi instead of 2. However, we were only charged for 1. I called the restaurant and Lan remembered me calling. She apologized and stated that the next time we were in we could pickup the other one. If you like Korean BBQ, I highly recommend this place. It gets really busy on the weekend, so I suggest you make reservations. The Beef Bulgogi and Kalbi are our favorite. Note: At no extra charge you will get rice, pears, kimchi and a pickled cucumber/carrot salad.
At first I was cheated that they didn't have the grill on the tables, but as soon as I started eating my so well, especially their short ribs!! A small background, I love Korean BBQ and have tried many different spots, especially Virginia. This place was great! Will definitely visit again when in NJ.
The LA Kalbi Dolsot is my goal. Great service, great wings, no court ever made me dissatisfied or someone I brought to try them. You will also pay attention to your spice level. I love extra spicy food and a 5 spice level is simply enough to leave a tingle on my tongue!
