lle domain welcomes the visitor with charm. the staff shows themselves in unison throughout our presence. The room is bright and tastefully. as will be the dishes that will delight our palace. our choice is on the spring menu: remarkable Breton lobsters, green asparagus, yellow of our confit eggs and juice land and sea, in the entrance, sweet crane of milk veal slowly cooked at the jumper, liqueured colonnata, bits of stuffed country and fevettes in main dish, shiny chartering soufflé hot to the lique without forgetting the mouth and delicious mini cakes to accompany the coffee. a lot of subtlety in the treatment of perfect products, seduction without provocation, great accuracy of cooking....
We had lunch with family and it was our first time in the field. the welcome is warm and very professional, but mistakes of beginner throughout the meal: water placed on the radiator tablet, plate served to the wrong person, mistakes in the statement of ingredients of the dishes....very bad! the meal was excellent, the sommelier of good advice and very friendly. My huge flat will also be on the site frame: a beautiful park that is cruelly lacking maintenance: a basin with dead trouts and other agony, an abandoned aunt that serves as a storage place in the middle of the park. This is our 4th or 5th visit and we felt it was worth remarking that the food was, we thought, better than ever. The care and attention to detail was excellent, the choices good (either a tasting menu or you choose how many courses you eat) and the wine list contained some good value bottles ( a relative term when in a 1* Michelin restaurant). Staff were superb and the ambiance impeccable. My only complaint is that we are in the 21st century now. Its about time I was given a menu with the prices rather than my husband having to shout them across the table. Get real...........We are nevertheless going back in September.
the property is beautiful and very well maintained. the customer is really pampered, with simplicity and professionalism. Girardon philippe is simply great, both in the furnaces and as the master of the places. quality and dedicated staff, impeccable service, original cuisine at content prices, beautiful wine map. the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast as varied as well as neat. bravo for homemade jams and excpetional rough eggs. First pilgrimage and probably not the last one! I hope to see him soon at. Luxembourg!

The domaine de Clairfontaine is located in a huge park in the very rural village of Chonas-d'Amballan.They have tasting menus but you can also chose and combine your courses from the à la carte menu the way you want. The setting is classic and elegant, the food classic French gourmet cuisine. The entrées were amazing, my Saint Pierre was one of the best I ever had, the soufflé as a dessert was perfect!
once again we enjoyed the excellent kitchen. a little bit, we had the impression that you were going back the stake. but the classics were at a constant high level. the wine-guiding should be better designed for yourself, especially as it is very economical to give in. the restaurant is full (as usually) comes the service ins stottern.
in a magnificent setting,cosy the reception is perfect, the impeccable service; fine, subtle French cuisine, dishes are beautiful. special mention for dessert practitioner and homemade bread; A big table.
We had a great meal! a discovery on the place that is very beautiful but also in the kitchen, tastes and flavors perfectly match! And I've been more than totally repus!

It is a bit on the expensive side, but when you compare to what is around (is there anything around except their poor Cottage?) it is okay. Fine service, good cuisine.
