this is one of the most magical places we visited. it is two or three kilometers from the beautiful village entraygue. it is on a hill overlooking a green valley, with the air filled with the sounds of the landscape. Mejanassere is a 'Ferme Auberge ' where a significant proportion of the food and wine served in the restaurant is produced there so the menu consists of what is on offer that day. Our very relaxed lunch lasted about four hours and started with their own...dried sausage and a plate of freshly roasted chestnuts. Following courses included a chicken terrine, a beautifully dressed salad, spit roasted duck with aligot (local potato dish), local cheeses and apple crumble or strawberries in spiced wine. The menu was €33 euros per head and their own very good wine was €17 a bottle. Having visited this area in France for over the last 20 years and seen so many restaurants change and move further away from their rustic roots and in many cases towards an over the top nouveau cuisine, this restaurant is a breath of fresh air....The menu is set by the chef, depending on what is in season. The night we visited we had rotisserie chicken which was succulent and delicious and accompanied by a delicious side of mashed potato with a dash of garlic. Preceding the chicken was a delicious salad and to follow we had cheese and a scrummy desert. Le cadre est magnifique, la vue à couper le souffle, les chambres confortables et spacieuses. Possibilité d'utiliser la cuisine de la maison pour se préparer un pic - nic ou un dîner. Le petit déjeuner est très bon et les produits de qualités mais manque de produits salés ( même si la fille des propriétaires, qui s'occupe de la partie chambre d'hôtes nous a proposé du fromage les deux derniers jours , charmante attention :-)Les conseils concernant les lieux à visiter, les randonnées etc.... sont de qualités! Un séjour parfait dans un lieu parfait! Ressourcement garanti !

Très beau cadre. Lieu préservé magnifique. Interieur décoré avec charme a l ancienne. Produits du terroir de qualité. Un seul choix de menu seul le plat peut changer : avons goûté cochon puis canard. Simple et très bon. Chambre agréables très spacieuses. Avec sdb et wc séparés très modernes.
Magnifique ferme auberge dans un lieu superbe. Menu unique, certes, mais quel menu ! la viande rôtie dans la cheminée et la purée maison, un vrai délice ! quant au vin de la propriété ( 2011 ), tout simplement, excellent ! Mais ne prends pas la carte bleue.
Que des produits de qualité et locale une formule bien rodée un cadre magnifique Nous on est à refaire impérativement on ne va pas là-bas pour manger on Iva également pour se reposer et prendre le temps de vivre Tout simplement parfait
We have spent two holidays in this region and each year have had a special meal at Mejanassere. On both occasions we have had the most delicious meal, friendly service and all in delightful setting. Highly recommended.
