Honestly, we were introduced to Pam and Mark one afternoon during our visit to Newcastle. Pam mentioned she owned a traditional eatery, and two days later we decided to go for breakfast. The warm welcome from the staff and customers was fantastic, and the atmosphere was full of friendly banter. The cafe is a local gem, serving homemade food at affordable prices. The cleanliness and quality of the food were exceptional. We struggled to choose between a traditional home-cooked meal and a classic fry-up, but ultimately went for the latter and were not disappointed. We go in every now and then and my Kev has the full breakfast every time but the past couple of times I had the mince and dumplings. Which I really enjoyed. This week we went and I just fancied the full English brekkie too. So two hearty breakfasts arrived and we thoroughly enjoyed them. Washed down with a mug of tea or two mugs in my case . Nice lasses and very friendly.Always speak when you come in and say bye when you go. I also have to say how totally nipping clean this pleasant little cafe is. You can tell it’s being kept on top off. Well done girls and there’s a couple of young lads work there too. Very good prices honest it’s worth going in.Sandwiches, quice , hot meals a right canny...

This restaurant is consistently excellent. I travel 20 miles round trip with my son for lunch here and it is always worth it! The food is always perfectly cooked and Pam and the staff are always cheerful and smiling. I highly recommend this place to anyone. I visited on Monday (17th) and I am going back again today (20th) to bring a friend and show him what delicious fresh homestyle cooking is all about.

The food is good home cooked food and great value ; the staff are very friendly and helpful . A good choice of meals and they do homemade chips ! The food ain’t gourmet ; but it does not sell itself as that . Been here 10plus times and never been disappointed . Reserva una mesa ahora

Good value still. Can get a little crowded at peak times. This is a basic Eastenders type of cafe. Parking easy. 2 full English brekkies just go for the biggest for the extra cost. People are canny who seem to work there always down to earth pleasant.

Went for lunch, ordered two roast dinners, vegetables tasted as if vinegar had been added to them, Yorkshire and dumpling were no better either. What a waste of nearly £9.00, I’ll take my custom elsewhere.

Absolutely superb place. Brilliant food , wonderful staff , and pleasure to visit. Highly recommended , breakfasts amazing , if you ever get the chance go. Better than any chain.

Nipped in for a bacon and mushroom sarny and a coffee. Fantastic social distancing measures. Excellent food too! Friendly staff.
