We came there by accident not knowing this is such famous place, with such long lasting traditions. Our experience was just average. Service was fine, the food looked great, but tasted not as good, as it looked. I took the traditional german goulash, which...was a bit too dry for me, and with nothing special in the taste. Similar was the experience of the rest of my group. Nothing special.
Great little Restaurant next to the Cathedral and Castle. Very friendly service (english spoken). You must try the Beergoulash ...it's a goulash served inside a loaf of delicious bread and comes with a beer....only Euro The view from the veranda over old town Meissen...is fantastic. Food tasteless and much beyond the expectations after checking the menue. Only for people who loves nice view and and historic location, but not for foodies at all.
