If you didn’t look slightly away from the road (FV-30) as you drive through the tiny village of Vega De Rio Palmas you would not only miss a delightful little church but probably one of the best village restaurants in Fuerteventura. 2 very homely dinning rooms and a lovely shaded courtyard with tables surrounded by trees and flowers. The menu is not extensive but that is because all of the food appears to be homemade rather than microwaved. Starters are about €8 euros and mains €15-18 euros. The service is very friendly and efficient. If you get the chance do visit as you will not be disappointed.
My husband and me came here after walking the Baranca. So easy to drive past but it has a beautiful church beside it. We sat in the shady garden courtyard at the back as it was another very hot day. We wanted coffees and cake and was informed by the friendly waiter that he had made the cakes! We chose Orange cake and Apple cake, they came beautifully presented. Both coffees and cakes were delicious. They open 10am until 6pm, but closed Tuesday and Wednesday. The whole place, inside and out, is immaculate. Don’t drive past, it’s a beautiful place. Definitely recommended.
Stopped here early one afternoon in need of refreshment after a long walk in the area, and found it to be a very pretty little restaurant with a lovely courtyard at the back. Very friendly service and the menu looked so good we decided to have a light, late lunch just a cheeseboard, but it was beautifully presented, very good, and definitely value for money. We were only sorry that we were not staying somewhere close by so that we could have returned for dinner at some point. Definitely worth a visit.
restaurante con una decoración dedicada en madera y forja. Buena atención al propietario y aunque la carta no es muy extensa, decantamos por una ensalada y el limón de pollo peed en tagine. La ensalada y el pollo muy ricos como se puede probar en Marruecos. No te pierdas los pasteles de queso o manzana para terminar. Un buen lugar muy diferente de los restaurantes de playa en la costa de la isla.
