Donato - Reserva de mesa

Not sure why the only person who reviewed this place gave it such a bad review. We visited Donato for lunch. It was a very pleasant surprise after reading the review - sometimes it is worth giving restaurants/bars a second chance. We were served by the owner himself who was very engaging and friendly. We started with a bottle of wine and decided on the special of the day - gnocchi with salad. The gnocchi was fantastic; salad fresh and local. We just finished a south to north trip through Italy and could have thought we were back in southern Italy!The meal was completed with a limoncello and espresso - perfect way to finish a meal. Just gets better and better. If you are craving a little Italy, this is a fantastic option. Try to get over your need to control what you eat and let Donato decide. Let him prepare a wonderful platter of appetizers that will have you begging for more; then enjoy whatever he offers next. All in the beautiful street with a nice glass of Good Italian wine. Finish with a Limon cello and don't forget to take some delicacies home!

If you want a good wine with a delightfull deli tray or a light meal with Italian finesse you are in the right place. You can also buy a lot of Italian deli wines and pastas there. They are going to welcome you always with a smile.

Nice casual lunch. Enjoy some nice cold meats and the pasta a la casa. Lively place as people come and go. Not cheap, but we enjoyed it.
