Donegal's Irish House

The mussels with the sauce was great! A very good cook, I must say. Unfortunately, the service was poor. It took 20 minutes to get us gals drinks when there were barely any customers in the pub. It was a late Wednesday evening, June 28, 2023. The waitresses/bartender were wanting to go home, I believe and if that was the case, then they needed to inform us. However; they did take the time to serve us when they felt like it. Then the waitress turned the page, went to my table, spoke to my friends at the table while I was outside having a cigarette and falsely accused me of throwing up outside on their patio!!! I was very hurt, angry and upset and I couldn 't believe that she did that. I curse...

This place is amazing! I went with a group of friends, and not only was our waitress, Tayla, incredible and honest but the food was terrific as well. I ordered the pulled pork Mac and cheese (I'll DEFINITELY be getting it again), and had a bit of an odd drink request for our server but she was enthusiastic and kind the whole time. At one point it got busy, and a friend's food hadn't come, but when we mentioned it she was honest about having forgotten and got it out to us on priority which is exactly the best way to handle it. I noticed vomit outside the front entrance upon entry. It took twenty minutes or so to receive our first drink despite being the only customers there. After an hour and a half of service the waitress approached our table to announce to every guest that the birthday girl is throwing up outside. The vomit had been there greeting every customer for approximately 2 hours. Needless to say the birthday girl was not pleased about being publicly shamed by the waitress. I used to really love Donegals but this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth ? I hope you regularly check for vomit maybe once an hour would be awesome to avoid situations like this. Well I have to say that tonight was one of the best jams I have taken part in. And I used to run Jams at the The Blueboy and Cal Dreamin back in the day.......LOL I love checking out the Blues Jam at Donegals. Decided to go early and have dinner as it was Marianne’s Bday and she used to come out and see my old band when we played around town! Our Server Sunni was awesome and the Drunken Irish Chicken dinner was soooooo good. Will be back again to Jam real soon. The house band with Corey, Marko and Trevor are always excellent and tonight to see my old musician friend Al Forman was a real treat. My favourite home away from home. Really good food at excellent prices. Most importantly the best service anywhere. I really do feel like I'm coming home when I walk through the door.

You might prefer the outdoor patio if there's music or karaoke (it's loud), but thankfully they have an outdoor patio. Nice place, good food, solid happy hour specials.

Celebrated my dad's 70th birthday here. Was a great time. Food was good service was great. Music was the best.
