Doo-Bop Jazz Bar

Amazing free music and unreal food at a great price, what a place! It was our first ever visit to Doo Bop this Thursday just gone. Mitch on the piano had an unreal voice and was happy to do requests. The food blew us away, apparently it is a new offering after the kitchen took a bit of a hiatus. The empanadas both chicken and three cheese) were easily the best I've had in this city and reminded me of my time in South America! The burger was $14 +3? or so) for fries and was the best burger I've had in Brisbane under $20 in a long time. Heaps of pickles, toasted bun, crispy edges on a juicy patty. Unreal. Thanks Doo Bop. We will be back real soon.

Great venue and thoroughly enjoyed myself however, the food was fairly standard. I started at the piano bar and got the dips and bread trio which I will speculate was no freshly made but bought. When I went to the show, I had the black onyx rump which was OK but very small portion. Dessert was OK, key lime pie nothing to talk about really. Solid but not amazing. Venue is great though but I wouldn't eat there specifically.

We fell quite late on the day of a Tuesday, curious about the show Tunes we could hear from the street. The ambience and the actors were top notch and the crowd, including us, had a ball. The only negative was the bar staff who seemed really dour and in contradiction to the overall atmosphere. No smile between them! Fantastic event, we're back.

Lovely venue with a basement bar for bigger acts, and a more intimate piano bar upstairs. Sound is good in both spots, and there’s a good range of booze to satisfy everyone

I would certainly recommend this as one of the best stops in CBDGreat atmosphere here.
