As non-German-speaking Brits, our dining experiences in Germany are limited to a few basic dishes when the restaurant doesn't have an English translation. (I get by in France and Spain, but Germany is a recent holiday destination for me.) I was about to order "cordon bleu", once again, when the server very charmingly helped us out with a fair translation of most of the main meals. I ordered grilled pork with fries and salad. The salad came as a starter. The pork would have fed two people. (I gather that people often share a main at this restaurant, which would make sense to those on a budget.) It came with herb butter and was delicious. This small restaurant is in the centre of Reit. It appears to be busy most evenings. The atmosphere is jolly and a bit like eating in someone's house.....well, chalet. Service was excellent. I can highly recommend it.
