TERRIBLE! Went for a family meal with the family service was horrible and place is filthy. So much wrong with the place no idea how it’s still open! Food quality was so horrible ! Toilets do not flush and so disgusting. Asked for multiple things on the menu and they did not have in the end we ended up sharing 3 cans of sprite between 7 people! I feel so sick that places like this are open in the UK! They need a visit by a health and safety officer ASAP! Let’s start with a positive. The flavours of the food were delicious even though we asked for several items from the menu that weren’t available. For instance Dhal! What self respecting south Asian restaurant doesn’t have dhal. Overall the entire place from the toilets, restaurant area, doorway, connecting corridor is disgustingly dirty. We didn’t like touching the toilet doors they were so brown and sticky. The floor of the restaurant was covered with a generous sprinkling of food produced, so much so that it was obvious that floor hasn’t been swept for days. Very unprofessional behaviour today at lunch time. Based on the opening times available on the website, we had been at 12 noon and were told that they open at 1300 hours and to come back. When we went back at 1300 hours, we were told another 45 minutes and claimed they were delayed because of some party… though the restaurant was empty!!! If the restaurant is not open for lunch, that should have been told to us when we went in at 12 noon. Pathetic behaviour and clearly the chap at the front desk lacks both professionalism and insight.
Dosa Village recently provided catering for a party at our home. We were really delighted with the food and the service. From set-up and arranging, to food (both quality and quantity), everything was brilliant. All our guests really loved the food, lots of compliments. And the thoughtful extras provided by Ramesh made it so easy and hassle-free for us to serve the food. Will definitely recommend and will be back again!

The staff have been very good. Ordered food just 2 days before the party. Ramesh came with the delivery on time and setup the dishes in order with patience. Guests were very happy with the food taste and quality. All the items were really good. Gutti vankaya, sambar, chapati, cut mirchi were wonderful. Happy to recommend to friends and family.
Our guests have absolutely enjoyed the tasty south Indian dishes catered by dosa village. The restaurant was able to happily accommodate our last minute additional requests for catering. Everyone liked the food. Also had a plain dosa in their restaurant once, which was nice, just like what we get in Chennai.
Some of the best southern Indian food I’ve ever tasted. Visited 5 times ,floors were dirty ,gents toilets very poor . “When I looked at scores on the doors”and sawtattheyweregiven 0 out of 5 I could no longer go there, such a shame as the chef must have been amazing to make food that good .
Food is very good but the place is extremely unhygienic.. the place needs to close and clean the place in out. Service is okayish. Accept only cash in these times meaning something definitely not right. Always a confusing environment and unsure while receiving the orders.

had to wait for 50 minutes after the supposed collection time. I had ordered 2 masala dosas and one Uttappam but got only 2 small sambar bowls and one small chutney !! This is the second time it has happened to me at that place. Will never go there again.
Best South Indian food you can find in Shirley. Would have given 5 stars, but the service is a bit slow and inattentive. Friendly but disorganised.
