"Tonkatsu omelette in brioche bread is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Went there a second time and ordered a Matcha Mille crepe, nice and smooth, not too sweet, so good with some freshly brewed latte! It has now become one of my favourite cafes"

We thought we'd try this place out as it had some nice tables in the sun on a cold winter's morning.  Before we sat down we asked the friendly waiter if they had fruit toast - he said yes. Two minutes later when we ordered said fruit toast he said "No sorry we don't have that". Then when my wife tried to order a decaf he said they didn't have that either. He pledged us a free hot chocolate to make up for the inconvenience - but at bill payment time we still got charged for it.  My espresso was quite good but the hot chocolate was adulterated with some additive flavour that ruined it. Hot chocolate should be hot chocolate, you can't add another ingredient without asking and think...

Ventured out to check this cafe on my fren's recommendation today. It's a nice little spot located at Willoughby road, crows nest alongside other eateries. The menu seems to be an amalgamation of different cuisine styles like Japanese,Italian, as well as Aussie. I ordered the tonkatsu tomago sandwich and it was quite lovely. I just wished that it was a little bigger in size lol. The coffee was terrific. They use beans from edition coffee roasters. The coffee had a bite and cuts through the milk nicely. I also tried the brazilian single origin as 3/4 flat white. It was mellow and had the chocolaty undertone. Had a brief chat with the co-owner Quinton and barista Zin. They seem to be very...

It kind of bugged me that a customer came in after me, was served before me. Being friendly and all is good but being attentive is just as important. Decided to grab the eggs benedict with smoked salmon for $16.50. 63 degree eggs was what took my attention, however, both of their yolks arent runny. Disappointing. Clearly the chefs didnt care about timing the eggs very well. Lots of smoked salmon and wilted spinach on a soft japanese bread. The hollaindaise was nice and creamy. A bit of a hit and miss cafe and since its amidst in a world of cafes in Crows Nest, competition is stiff. Coming back? Maybe.
