We didn't know about Double D's until we saw an article in Florida today, so we thought we would try. My wife loves tri tip and there are not many BBQ joints that offer it. Turns out Double D's offers it!! We started with two appetizers hush puppies and roasted cheese curds. Hush puppies were perfect. Very sharp outside soft inside. Cheese curds were also simply killers! Besides the Trispitze, she had the Mac cheese and a salad. I had a combination of cut pork, St. Louis ribs and Brisket, plus frits baked beans. My husband has been raving about this BBQ restaurant for a while now. We live about 40 minutes away, and since we were in the area, he persuaded me to go, even though I wasn't in the best mood that day. The staff were AMAZING! The food was AWESOME! I ordered turkey and ribs, accompanied by collard greens and mac and cheese (the whole family ended up getting mac and cheese, haha!). My husband had brisket and green beans, our daughter chose sliced pork, and our son had the kids' ribs. I, of course, sampled their dishes, and they tried mine as well. We were blown away by how delicious everything was. Normally, at restaurants, you might find one or two great items, but EVERYTHING here was fantas...
My mom and I stopped by after visiting plant city strawberry festival. We were starving and we haven't tried Double D's BBQ before. We were glad decided to try them. I had the pulled chicken with baked beans, pasta salad, and corn bread. Recently, I had dental work done and needed soft foods to eat during the healing process. The staff was soo alternative and nice and we didn't wait long for the food to arrive. My meal was hot and tasty. The corn bread was moist. The chicken was perfect. We have found our new BBQ joint. The best Bbq around and the nicest people you’ll ever meet! This is the second year we’ve ordered Thanksgiving meal from them and couldn’t be more pleased! Because of our crazy work schedules, we’ve been unable to prepare a turkey or sides. Their smoked turkey is so moist and tender I’m not sure I’ll ever cook one again, and their smoked ham is to die for! I’m serious, you have to try it! Not often I come over a restaurant that is better than anything I can do as a cook and baker. But it's double D. Baked beans were better than mine and the brisket was perfect. Three giant pork rolls and at least one whole onion worth rings. It's around the corner of me, so I'll be there a lot.
The food was absolutely delightful! Every dish was perfectly seasoned. The rib tips had a fantastic smoky flavor. Everyone else in my party also enjoyed their meals. It's a spacious dining spot, making it a great place to eat. Definitely worth a visit! Reserva una mesa ahora
