we were only there for morno's coffee, and a bit of cake, however.... A quaint little café nestled on suburban corner in what appears to be an old corner store. You sit at a bench under the shady verandah (or at the 2 small tables) and relax with your coffee as you enjoy the solitude of 1930s-like suburban life in Norman Park.Their coffee is very good - you can choose your blend (they use Uncle Joes Coffee Beans - a new one on me). Mine was a touch mild for my On-Army-Exercise-at-0200Hrs extreme-strength-standard blend, but that was my choice and I still enjoyed the flavour and texture. My fruit and nut toast was delicious - a first for me as I had thought that toast was ....well.... toast.T...
Have heard a lot about this little cafe and decided to.give it a try. Despite.being tiny, it could still fit in tables of 4-5 ppl along the corridor and easy for solo patrons to.dine on the bar. They have a tiny kitchen and a pretty good menu for breakfast/lunch. Considering most breakfast places charges >$20 for any breakfast with meat, you can get a decent one here under $20. Mind you, the taste is up to standard. Coffee- have a wide selection of how you want it done - magic, piccolo , you name it. For gf ppl you've got your selection of pastries here.
This small cafe is set on a quiet street which is great for parking. We were a group of 7 and the seating layout was difficult for this number of people together. The coffee was good. We were looking forward to having something sweet with our coffee and the cake we had was great but the selection was very limited.
Staff were very friendly and easy to talk to. Coffee was smooth and well made. Coffee came out with cute little antique spoons with different logos etc which was something different and interesting. Did not eat there however the food looked good. Limited seating however staff were accommodating.

A quiet little oasis in a residential street in Norman Park. The cafe is in the old corner store, with outdoor seating under the awning. The owners and staff are lovely and very knowledgeable about all things coffee, amazing attention to detail. Perfect spot for a relaxed brunch.
Went on a recommendation from a friend and was blown away! Exceptional coffee using 'Uncle Joe's' coffee. Had 'chilli con carne' with baked eggs and goats cheese. Also some amazing home baked cakes etc that are all gluten free! Can't wait to go back to Brisbane to visit again!
What can I say, Lovely staff and the best coffee. I was there just this morning for breakfast and the food was delicious. This little Gem even had outdoor heaters as well as blankets. I can't wait to go back.
Actually, all the coffee is good here, locally produced with local milk. The menu is small but fabulous with most being gluten free. There are always special treats that change daily. I love this place!

Went to Dovetail on Trip Advisor recommendations and didn't disappoint. Coffee was great, service very friendly. I would recommend a visit to Dovetail.
