This place has an angry and evil woman who normally works the window. Her demeanor alone would run the nicest person away. I try to support them because they're one of the last soul food places around that are black owned, but today is the last day I willever spend money there. I live 40 minutes outside of Boston, and to get the type of food I received today, makes it the lasttime I'll ever patronize this sub-par restaurant. They messed up my order again, gave me burnt hush puppies, and refused toanswer the phone when I called back (3x to be exact). Every time that mean spirited woman is at the window, my order(s) getmessed up, and I tip every time I go in there. Down Home Delivery has gone...

I am convinced that people who rate this food any higher than a 2 star obviously never had good soul food (n will most likely eat anything put in front of them). However, if you are used to good soul food THIS AINT IT!!! The so called Mac n cheese is awful, not sure what type of “cheese” they use but it’s not sharp cheddar or no creamy sauce… it’s the texture of scrambled eggs, just awful. The greens are even worse, BIG fat greens with no flavor, no love. My baked chicken was hard n definitely over cooked with no seasoning. You are better off cooking yourself. They will always be able to feed greedy people who are not used to great soul food, but picky people who know good food STAY AWAY!!!...

What saddens me is that the food quality has declined tremendously! The food used to be soooo good 2 years ago but I believe they have a new cook because 3 times in a row my greens have been bland and they forgot my cornbread. I want this business to succeed but I need you guys to cook with excellence. I've always recommended you to everyone but I no longer feel comfortable doing so. I truly hope you can go back to being the best soul food place in Boston that you USED TO BE. I say this with love.

INEDIBLE FOOD!!! Salty salty SALTY. If the food is a little bit salty, okay fine, whatever. But the fried chicken I ordered was DROWNED in flakes of salt. I tried to eat some of the dinner but ended up throwing most of it away. Very disappointed…and also just confused???Who actually thinks it’s normal to have a tablespoon of salt in every bite? I don't go here often but when I do I never have a problem amd the good is always on point. We order a head of time and come to pick it out. They are always busy and that's a good thing. Ever since I found out you get meat on the ribs and not mostly bonesI keep coming mack for them. The nac and cheese and candid yams are to die for. We came here last night to pick up the 4 dinnerswe ordered

I have said I was going to stop ordering from this establishment, I think today was the straw that broke the camels back . My food was in the regular take out container, but was put in a shopping bag and the container was on the side. Yes, you canimagine everything was altogether peas/rice and yams. Is this a new way of doing takeout, placing the container on the side? Unacceptable service

I had fried chicken, yams cabbage. Chicken and cabbage was flavorless, yams weren't soft enough and lack sweetness. Apparently you have to get extra seasoning which makes absolutely no sense. It was edible if you're hungry and or a seniorcitizen or can't have salt. This is my opinion, my brothers and sister likes this place. It was my first and last.

I ordered from down home 2 weekends in a row. I can say, the food was rather tasty. First time, I ordered barbecue chicken wings, collard greens and blackeyed peas. I tried potatoes salad the next visit and that was not so good. But overall, the foodis good. Will definitely go back. Reserva una mesa ahora

I guess it just depends on what you order. I got the smothered pork chops, greens yams. The smothered pork chops were fire, I can’t lie. Everything else was just okay… :

I got the legs/thigh plate with Mac and collards and okra and it was amazing! So good my dogs stole it from me when I got up to get a napkin. Will definitely be back.
