I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Down The Hatch Antigua Street. Having lived in Canada and not returned for a few years, this was a fantastic experience. The menu offered delicious options. The only reason I didn't give five stars was that I found the gravy on the poutine a bit too thick and exceptionally salty for my taste. However, this didn’t take away from the overall experience. My Hatch burger was fantastic and even came with a gluten-free bun, which was wonderful since many places don’t offer that. I also loved that Bellfield Pilsner was available on tap. I will definitely be back on my next trip to Edinburgh.
At the risk of being accused of hyperbole, the Curdmeister may be the best burger I have ever had. The maple bacon poutine fries are also amazing. I just wish I had room to finish it all! Staff are lovely as is the atmosphere. Would recommend if you’re in the mood for a burger in Edinburgh. The food was excellent and the service was good, although it was a little slow at the beginning. However, the noise level was overwhelming. We were seated right next to a speaker, which made it even harder to hear. It felt like everyone, including us, had to raise their voices to have a conversation over the music.
We go to this restaurant a lot and it never disappoints. At one time we tried another restaurant with similar food and we felt like we were cheating on down the hatch so decided never to cheat on DTH again.

Hatch burger was amazing as per usual, had molten wings as a side this time. Delicious but crazy spicy! Loved it
