dinner for two. first greeted and ordered for eating and drinks. iced tee and a red wine, water, vegetarian burger and a kangaro steak. red wine was delivered immediately and the meal was shortly after, but two had to accept for. the icy that arrived a few minutes after the meal and the second question. the vegetarian burger was ok better than McDonald’s, but left room for improvement and came with a fair size salat and a teller full of chips, the kangaroo steak was also a fair size as they go, but was a bit hard, despite ordered and delivered more on the rare side. it was not helped by a steak knife that did not really fulfill the task. the less the steak was acceptable and the beans packed...

Firstly, as an Australian (not that the staff seemed to notice) I can say that a lot of the food was not authentically Australian. For example, we don't eat kangaroo, emu or crocodile meat and Fosters beer is not even sold in Australia, owned by...an Australian company, nor liked by most Australians. In any case, I found this restaurant okay, but for the price paid the serving size was quite small and the kangaroo meat tasted a lot like beef, just with a higher price. Unless you're really keen to try something so exotic that even Australians don't eat it, you might as well just stick to the steak/burger menu. The service was fairly fast but not all that friendly. another so-called aussie pub that thinks a few pictures of Australian and a boomerang on the wall creates a real atmosphere. once again, only looking at the beer list was a disappointment, seriously? only fosters for an aussie bier? what about at least a small...Many of good down? there are Aussie pubs around which offer a large selection of Australian beers and sometimes even some beers from New Zealand. the menu looked good, the emu burger that my man had was quite good, the salat I ordered was good and plentiful. But, with music terrorized, the explicit lyrics about sex and parts female body had while they try to enjoy a meal. No! I was close to eating and spending it out.

While in town for a week with work we stopped by on the first evening for a meal and I decided a salad would be a nice lite option and chose the Old Boy's Steak and Salad which was so good that we had to...return for a second one later in the week. The second time a colleague had the same meal and agreed it was a seriously good piece of meat and the salad was good too. Mid week the place was heaving both inside and outside with several sports matches being shown on the TV. A good selection of beers and a separate smoking room for those that need it. I have to admit that I was dubious at first, but I was persuaded by friends who had already been there to go to Down Under for dinner this past weekend, and I was not disappointed. While I can only comment on the Black Angus...Premium Burger, it was awesome. I have tried multiple times to find a good burger in Germany, but this was the first time I found anything close to what exists in the US. Others at the table enjoyed the Emu Burger and large salad with chicken. Service was also friendly and prompt. A definite find in the suburbs of Frankfurt.

First of all: this establishment has virtually nothing to do with Australia. The food is American at best but I don't want to focus on this quite obvious fact in this review. Though pricey, the burgers here are pretty decent for European standards and fairly...big in comparison to other restaurants in the area. Drinks are very expensive (especially the average sized cocktails). That being said: it is a chill place with a nice atmosphere for conversation and fun.

They advertise heavily around town and went here with an Australian friend who was visiting. We had burgers now everybody has a different taste, but both of us did not like the food. Bar and atmosphere was nice enough. It was fairly busy even...on a weeknight. So if you want to be among people this seems the place to go. If you want good food better find another spot.

today I was invited in down under in bad vilbel. I had the Australian rosted skewer and a cocktail the down under cocktail. it was great that I love it! the service was great. I'll be back. Reserva una mesa ahora

Friendly service and good food with big portions. Good atmosphere, also good just for drinks. Recommended for groups of friends.
