Downtown Boricua Grill

I ordered the jabarito, and it was my third time getting it from this restaurant. My first experience was fantastic, but the last two times have been disappointing, particularly with the meat. I hoped the second visit was just an off day, but by the third time, I realized I wouldn't be coming back. The arroz con gandules lacked flavor as well. The staff who took my order were very friendly, which is unfortunate because the food didn't meet my expectations. I really hope it gets better for others.

This is a food truck that sells delicious Spanish (Puerto Rican) foods. They have lunch specials available during certain days of the week. The food is cooked to order so be prepared to wait. There is also one bench for about twi people available to sit while you wait.Parking: The food truck is parked in a lot that used to be a gas station. The gas station is no longer operational so there is some parking in that area.

This restaurant is easy to access, located just off the freeway. I stopped by on my way to Tampa, and it was definitely worth the visit. I had the mofongo with bistec encebollado, and it was absolutely delicious. I also tried the empanadas, which were fantastic. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area! Food rating: 5/5.

Tried their alcapurias am not too happy or impressed. They meat filling was kinda of a jaiman beef patty filling. Am Puerto Rican. I apologize but this was the worst alcapuria I’ve ever had the flavors of the masa were perfect but the meat I’ve never had an alcapuria filling taste like that or the texture of the meat. Carne frita crunchy outside and juicy inside. Love the trifongo. Calling in your order for pick up make easy for just enjoying your meal. Been coming and will continue.

The restaurant is clean and smoke-free, offering a fantastic selection of beers. The atmosphere is welcoming, and I'm really glad it's in the area.

Love the food! I always get the arroz mamposteao with the chuletas. Never disappoints and the staff is friendly.
