We had a mix of delight and disappointing when visiting the Down Towne Ice Cream Shoppe, the delight is obvious, they make some killer home made ice cream and their staff were supper friendly. The disappointment was that their website boasts some incredible potential flavour...options but advises that only a select few will be available each day (makes sense). And when we arrived on a Saturday afternoon we were disappointed that only one unique flavour was on the menu for the day and the rest of the options were standard flavours we could have got pretty much anywhere. We stopped here as ice cream looked delicious and it was! There is a bench outside but we decided on sitting inside, loads of different ice creams to choose from, spoil5 for choice. They are a bit expensive bu5 we found that to be general...throughout the area fo4 ice cream. But we couldn’t resist, we had rum and raisin and strawberry, our friend had a foursome of rhubarb, maple, pecan and strawberry. We can highly recommend this shop, the staff were very helpful and give samples if you can’t decide what to have.

very hot inside, was juni and it was hotter inside waiting for service when it was outside. also was not pleasant to observe how people tried to crumble their ice cubes while it was melted over their hands in this overly hot space.and try to pay! Maybe first like most places should pay out of this ground? we did not finish the order, the ice cream was a cross-contamination measurement! place was dindgy and very small in the inner, with a laborious smell. a great nope from us!

I am a huge fan of any place that offers a tart and tangy grapefruit gelato in a large scoop for less than $5. The flavor is just right, not too overpowering. If you're not a huge grapefruit fan, they also offer a wide variety of other flavors. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is charming. You can either sit inside or take your treat to a nearby park or walk along the river for a lovely view. I would definitely return to this place.

We had a great meal at one of the restaurants on the strip and decided to try their desserts. The options were limited but excellent, especially the rum-raisin ice cream - it was amazing. The service was fast and the staff was very busy but friendly. It was a bit messy, but in a funny way. We will definitely visit again.

We love to bring out of town guests here for a sampling of their ice cream goodness. There are always multiple enticing flavours, and it is always hard to make a choice. Sometimes we splurge and bring a liter or two home, so we make...it our last stop before heading home.

I had a delightful time at this charming little shop, enjoying some delicious gelato and engaging in pleasant conversation. The shop also offered a variety of appealing chocolates, truffles, and candies to choose from.

During this pandemic, they only have a takeout window, but there weren't too many people in line, and the service was fast. I got the triple chocolate gelato, and it was decadent. It was pricy though.

Very tasty ice creams. The chocolate cayenne is very nice. Slight spice. Rhubarb is also great. Dad had caramel crunch and thourouly enjoyed it. Great service. Absolutely worth a visit.

friends and I stopped after the walk on ice. the place had a great variety. it was a bit warm inside, but my friends loved her ice.
