My group went for afternoon tea at the cozy restaurant. We had booked a few weeks in advance and requested the fire be lit due to the cold weather. Despite asking multiple times, one staff member finally admitted they didn't have sticks or newspaper to light the fire. We ended up keeping our coats on and feeling cold throughout the meal. Last year, the fire was lit for us and we had a great time which is why we rebooked. The food was delicious, but the overall experience was disappointing and I ended up catching a cold. It's a shame because we wanted to continue coming back, but now we have to look for a warmer venue.
We went for afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday. We weren't made to feel very welcome. We had pre booked and paid a deposit but they came to the table with the card machine to take full payment from everyone before we were served anything. This detracted from the experience for me. There was nothing wrong with the food but I would have a preferred a few more savoury options and in my opinion I have had better selections and experiences elsewhere where I was made to feel like I was welcome rather than an inconvenience.
Held a baby shower here for my friend a few months ago. The room was lovely and clean and all the tables and chairs were in place when I arrived which was fab! I felt very stressed and the staff were really lovely and helped a lot! Even cleaned up for me when I dropped a full box of 12 cupcakes a few minutes before everyone arrived oops! The drinks were amazing, the room looked gorgeous and I’d definitely hire it for an event again! Thanks so much xx
5 stars Had a wonderful unlimited prosecco afternoon tea in the basement snug . Room was all set out ready for us with a lovely fire , very cozy . There was a selection of hot pork pies, sandwiches and wraps , cream and jam scones , lots of mini cakes . Lots !!! Of prosecco constantly topped up our glasses were never empty ! Well worth the money and atmosphere . Staff were very attentive , highly recommended!

We had the most amazing birthday bottomless afternoon tea. The team were so attentive (the prosecco kept on flowing! and nothing was too much trouble. One of us has a special diet which they catered for, birthday celebrations which they helped with and took photos for us! An all round 5 star service! Thanks for making the day go so well x
We were allowed to sit and choose our cocktails, only to be informed that they were not serving cocktails. This was extremely disappointing. If a cocktail bar is not serving cocktails, they should inform customers and remove the menu.

Organised a surprise party in the private room. Came at a very reasonable rate and the room had it's own private bar. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Everyone had a great time.

Drinks are lovely until 2 guys have a fight next to you which ends up in your table being flipped and the drinks smashed and the manager refusing to give us replacements or a refund
Had a nice drink sitting outside at this bar. Service was a bit a bit slow coming to get our order, but otherwise I couldn't fault. Very pleasant sitting out in the sunshine.
