Dragonerbau - Reservar una mesa

We stayed 2 nights with friends, therefore had two double rooms. Rooms are functional, clean but rather basic. No tea or coffee making facilities, no mirror in the room. First night we had a few drinks in the bar and after 3 measures of gin they had sold out. On the second evening we go to the bar and got told immediately that we could stay because they were hosting a function ( no pre warning), we asked if we could have just one before going out and while we waited for the second couple, & that was ok, till we asked for G&t's - no gin .... I said you had no gin last night and he just shrugged and said I didn't have time ..... Ok !? We got back around 1:30 am and the party was still going strong, at 2:30 our friends asked for the music to be turned down, and got told if the don't like it go to another hotel !! The party ended around 3:00 and the guests left through the main doors which was right under our room, and it probably took 40 minutes of taxis, shouting, laughing and the likes for them to eventually leave the building. All in all a miserable night for the residents. The attitude of the proprietor and staff was awful, basically tough .... We have visited this region of Hesse probably 5 times in the last 3 years but I can categorically say that we won't be staying here again !!!!

The restaurant is in a rustic building and is nice and cozy inside. The service was extremely slow. It took 30 minutes to get our food ordered. The speed at which they brought out the food was on the magnitude of a 4 or 5 course menu, when we only ordered soup and our main dishes. When we could finally flag down a waitress to ask for a check, they forgot about it, and after 20 minutes we finally went up to the bar and paid. I ordered the venison ragout and was very disappointed. The meat was extremely tough and was like chewing on leather. My mother-in-law ordered the bread dumplings with eggs and onions, and it was absolutely delicious. I honestly expected the venison to be much better than some bread and eggs. My husband ordered cordon bleu, which I found mediocre and dry. We also ordered the beet soup and pumpkin soup. The beet soup tasted too much like cream, and the pumpkin soup was too salty, although nicely presented. Considering how much money we spent, I didn't find it to be that spectacular.

Es war eine Veranstaltung im Park und wir setzten uns in den Biergarten um Kaffee zu trinken, weil ein großes Werbeschild da stand mit Kaffee und Kuchen und frische Erdbeeren. Das erste was wir unfreundlich gesagt bekamen war, die Küche ist jetzt zu es gibt nichts mehr zu Essen. Da wollten wir Kaffee und Kuchen bestellen und bekommen gesagt, der Bäcker war noch nicht da Kuchen gibt's auch nicht. Vielen Dank für die freundliche Bedienung!!!

Wir waren schon des öfteren hier essen. Es ist immer gleichbleibende, sehr gute Qualität. Wer österreichisches Essen wie Knödelvariationen, aber auch Gulasch usw. mag kann hier gar nichts falsch machen. Dazu kommt noch das wunderschöne Ambiente und sehr aufmerksames Personal.

Meine Nichte hatte uns gestern zu ihrem Geburtstag in den Dragonerbau eingeladen. Wir bestellten alle verschiedene Gerichte. Jeder von uns war von seinem Essen begeistert. Die Bedienungen waren sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Alles in allem war dies ein wunderschöner Abend.
