I visit New Orleans about a month or two total each year for my e-commerce business. I found this gem a few years back when they were at their other location near Girard.… I recently visited the new location for the second time a few days ago. I gotta tell ya. I love this spot..It’s got a lot going for it. A great place to spend an evening for a few hours with my business partner. The vibe is dope. Drip with an amazing twist on gelato. Affogato where do I starto? We stumbled into one of the coolest places in the Big Easy while in town for a conference. Off the beaten path but within a five minute walk of every hotel around. This chic and eclectic spot was nestled on Camp between Poydras and Canal and was a welcome sight to relax and chill. From the moment we spotted it on the sidewalk to the glance inside, we knew this was a must stop place. Really enjoyed the space and gelato. There was no wait and we were seated immediately when we arrived. We ended up getting a flight after our server kept suggesting it. She was enthusiastic about getting our order in pretty quickly and we were indecisive with our options. She was nice and helpful, the treats came out quickly and everything tasted good. Overall, it was a good experience. I will say we felt a little bit rushed. There’s a 20% automatic gratuity for large groups, which totally makes sense. That being said, I appreciate when the server reminds you about it when paying. The person paying did not see the fine print and ended up tipping 40%. Worth going for the artwork and dessert!
This place is so cool! The ambience is amazing and music selection... Outstanding. Jess the bartender is absolutely wonderful and gave great recommendations for our first experience. Her drinks are fabulous (lemon drops are everything you didn't know you were missing in life). Glad to say that Drip is the new after work spot to unwind and enjoy some much-needed treats. Terrible service. Not worth it. We walk in with the place completely empty. Bartender and waitress ignore us. Eventually, we are vaguely directed to sit somewhere. The bartender then comes up to us and tells us we sat in the wrong tables. Never have I had such a terrible service experience. 5 star prices for Waffle House service, no thank you!
From the atmosphere, servers, Jess the bartender , the owner Jeremie, you will not be disappointed. It is the perfect blend of specialty desserts and drinks with great music and decor. Highly recommended when visiting New Orleans in Camp St, one block from Canal St. This location even has a VIP room! Check out the pics.
