After looking forward to a nice dinner at this restaurant and checking the menu online, we were disappointed to find limited vegetarian options. Despite seeing at least 2 main courses we could have, we were informed upon seating that there were no vegetarian options left, so we had to settle for chips. We also ordered a side of ‘beer vegetables’ for £3 each, only to receive tiny bowls of slightly vinegary raw vegetables. With 2 out of 5 of us being vegetarian and another following a vegan diet due to allergies, it was surprising that the restaurant couldn't accommodate our dietary needs. We arrived about 30mins early and were told that our table wasn't ready but we could have a seat at bar area and we'd be told when a table was available. We sat there for roughly 20 minutes and heard nothing from the staff, I asked one in passing if we could order there and she said that a table was becoming available and took us over. After being seated at the table we were left waiting on a server coming over, no one even came by to take a drinks order. This restaurant is a fantastic spot for chatting. The noise level is manageable. The food and beer are top-notch. Although the service can be a little disorganized, the staff is very friendly and quick to resolve any issues in a friendly manner. The design and layout of the restaurant are unique and inviting. The fish and chips are epic. The burgers were great and the 'posher ' plates went down very well. Food had always been good here, but they 've really stepped things up. The relaxed atmosphere and huge beer selection are excellent. Stephen and the team were really on their game this week. It won 't be long before we are back!

Friendly atmosphere with a relaxing and rustic feel. Food was delicious and good value. Staff were lovely. First visit was a week ago with six other people who all enjoyed the night. I was back again within a few days with a different set of friends and family so I would definitely recommend.
The food was fantastic, the service was superb, and the beer selection was top-notch. Overall, it was an excellent evening.
Excellent service and great atmosphere. Great that we can go for some dinner and take our dogs with us.
