Nous venons de passer un week-end en famille avec nuitée pour 13 personnes au Chalet Chanso. Alors que le cadre est idyllique et les lieux propres et bien entretenus, l’accueil fût exécrable! La patronne semblait agacée dès qu’on lui demandait quelque chose. Elle était manifestement énervée et ne voulait pas nous servir. Exemple: nous avons demandé une assiette valaisanne pour 10, nous étions au total 9 assis pour se mettre l’eau en bouche. Elle nous a demandé de commander pour plus de personnes, car elle ne voulait pas refaire une assiette ensuite ! Pour le soir, elle avait organisé un DJ buffet tapas. waited for an hour to eat ours, courteously explained twice to a waiter we had limited time as we had to come back and pick up our children from the ski school. it showed no empathy and said that everyone was in the same situation. on the quieter side of the portes du soleil this restaurant is a great place to stop. from a long teleski (draglift) they can return to him, take their skis and admire them in sight. snow, tannen trees and sun. the coffee is good,...the apricots or myrtille cakes are worth driving hard and, except for the obligatory 'pulp ' music it is also quiet. the staff is friendly and service fast. the most important courses are beautifully presented and looked as if they came fast.
We have visited the Chalet Neuf during ski holidays arriving on skis and also walking up on snow shoes. It is a delightful restaurant offering the chance to eat inside or out and enjoy great views on clear days. The young, energetic staff are very helpful and there are two lovely resident dogs Brigitte and an unnamed husky type who is not allowed to circulate. We notice it is a gite as well and could imagine how peaceful it would be to spend any length of time up there.

Ce Chalet est super, joli décor, point de vue magnifique. Les bonbons de Chanso et la tarte maison excellents. Très bon accueil.
Vue splendide, accueil chaleureux, ça m'a grandement donné envie d'y retourner pour la nuit, les dortoirs sont tellement jolis !
