Sainte Brigitte de Laval is a little out of the way but the restaurant is worth the trip. The service is very friendly, (brush up your French anglophones, its worth the effort) and the food is amazing. The account from Steve M below hits the nail on the head with regard to the menu. It has a huge range from pizza and putine to haute cuisine and best of all: it is unpretentious. I like the banquettes, latin music and casual ambience, it is a thousand miles away from the stuffy "you are lucky we are serving you" ambience of fine dining. We made a small stop at this restaurant following a friend's recommendation, it's a recently built restaurant, beautiful look outside. in terms of the quality of the food, we took two special duff pizza, and I'd tell you that the pizza surprised me, with the number of restaurants that offer pizzas, you have to know how to get out of the ordinary. and well duff understood it, pizza had a lot of pepponis, but really a lot. We have lived in Ste-Brigitte for two years and had already visited the duff. We served pizza, poutines, burgers. It was good but nothing new for Ste-Brigitte. the menu has been completely changed over the last few days and what a nice surprise! a little more sought after, well presented, interesting. We chose the salmon tartare and shared the only burger of the menu, the duff (mega.) was really beautiful and very good! I wanted to go eat over there with friends (we remain a 5 minute walk from the restaurant) we go on a Tuesday noon and has our great surprise, the restaurant was closed. the restaurant opens at 16:00 to all day of the week if I saw well. I don't understand why because there are so many people in the construction that would go to lunch and dinner there. for me a restaurant with such hours of opening its absolutely serves nothing. I'm not going to the duff myself to buy a fries I don't want to encourage this restaurant. I now go to the restaurant the Lavalois a few minutes drive further and it is open to normal hours. I highly recommend trying the vanilla, pistachio, and dark chocolate gelato at this restaurant. It is excellent. However, please note that they do not accept Visa or MasterCard for payment.

This gelato is one of the best I've ever tried! Located on Saint Jean street, it's a great place to stroll and explore. There are plenty of flavors to choose from.

Best food in a semi-remote area. A little pricey. Great ambiance. Would return next time I am in the area.
