My friends and I came here after 6 hours of hiking that was supposed to take 4 hours but that's a story for another time. Dumpling den is situated in Fort Lee which is an area known for its exemplary food options.We got the pork soup dumplings and the crab and pork soup dumplings. I personally preferred the pork soup dumplings more at this spot. The filling was fresh and the soup was thick and rich. I thought the crab and pork dumpling are decent as well.The garlic eggplant was spot on. The sesame pancakes could use a bit more scallion. This little joint amazed us. It was destiny kind of since we were supposed to stop in at the Ramon place a couple doors down but they were closed. This was the perfect deviation. It’s not fancy but provides a casual and comfortable atmosphere. The gentleman who served us explained everything since it was our first visit. He was so friendly, patient and kind. We ordered a few apps and dumpling options. Everything was delicious. If I’m in the area again, I would make a point to stop in and enjoy some other dishes. Just recently went here for the first time and the food was delicious! We ordered a variety of items from the dumpling sampler to the crispy duck and it all came out very quickly, I really don’t have one complaint. The server was extremely kind, energetic, and helpful. This is one of the few restaurants that allows you to completely feel like home. Also during the night, they shine this bright hologram of their logo on the sidewalk and I thought it was such a nice touch! 1000% recommend to anyone who just wants a great meal and a good time! Finally some good Chinese food in Fort LeeMust try!We only tried few items but let me tell you it’s so worth it.. we ordered the following items Scallion pancakes- they are so fluffy and tender* Beef/Pork mini bao heaven the dough is so soft Assorted dumplings- still has some juice in it, yummyThe chef was singing in the back, makes you think food will be really good. The waiter/owner was so kind. Sooo looking forward to coming back and trying the rest of their menu.
Solid drain point that I highly recommend. Very nice and courteous staff. The food came pretty quickly. Super fresh, warm and delicious emptying options for vegetarians too. My favorite was the soup drain which had a large amount of umami. I would definitely come back again!
