Dune Deck Beach Club

We had a dinner reservation for 4 this evening at the Dune Deck Beach Club. We were seated and then we were asked to leave. The manager aggressively approached the table and ask that I follow him and the security guard. I was told we had to leave because I had eaten there before and they only let you eat there once unless you are a member. Can you imagine the embarrassment? I asked how was I supposed to know this and he said there would be no way for me to have known as its not a written policy. My friends had never eaten there but we had to leave because I had already eaten there. You can make a reservation on line on their website yet they don't let you know the rules. I wish I taped the conversation. It was unbelievable. My friend walked over to make sure I was ok and she was stunned as well. Please spread the word to stay away from this place. It was empty and I hope it goes out of business. They are wasting beautiful beach property.

I had a similar experience to the recent 1 star review. I booked on line. I was confirmed for a 11:30 am lunch reservation. When we arrived, it was clear they were surprised we were there. We were asked to wait. A manager approached us and said that the e mail confirmation was a mistake but that they would serve us anyway. He further said they only accept one non member reservation per day. It was made very clear in his tone and language that we were not really welcome. It seemed they were trying to create a members only exclusivity which is fine, but then don't set up a means for non members to request a reservation. Also there were very few people at the restaurant 10% of capacity at most; when we were seated we were the only people there. The food was good to great, the setting beautiful, but the service was extremely poor.

Beautiful resort right on the ocean. Everything is top shelf.
