I've visited Dunes for lunch several times, and I must say the food is fantastic. The atmosphere is laid-back and relaxed, which is just what you need when you want to escape the city. The service is excellent, and the menu is well-thought-out and balanced. We started with Tasmania scallops and yellowfin tuna sashimi, both of which were delicious and left us wanting more! For our main courses, we had the oven-baked Barramundi and the hickory-smoked beef fillet with Café de Paris butter, broccolini, and jus—both dishes were outstanding and a true testament to the chef's skill.
The mussels with wine reduction sauce were remarkable – incredibly fresh mussels paired with a tomato sauce that has a delightful, strong kick of alcohol that leaves you wanting more.
The salt and pepper squid was unforgettable. It's a simple dish, but it truly stands out. You can hear the satisfying crunch with every bite, complemented by the sweet, tender, and chewy squid that bursts with flavor.
The twice-cooked duck is an absolute must-try. The meat is so tender it falls right off the bone, served in a rich sauce over a bed of soft, fluffy risotto.
I had a fantastic dining experience at Dune to celebrate my birthday. We took advantage of a great mid-week lunch special that offered excellent value. The staff were attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome. The food was absolutely delicious. Both the restaurant and the service were outstanding, striking a perfect balance without being overly extravagant, and the prices were reasonable. It’s a wonderful alternative to the Boathouse.
Still remains the best after so many years. This is one of Sydney's timeless gems (pretty much like Longrain anything by Neil Perry). The restaurant is always great. The kiosk is amazing. Today (labour day) was soooo busy at the kiosk, but everything happened like magic the food was as consistent as ever. No panic, no drama, just happy faces everywhere. Well done, Dunes!

We arrived at 11am and just missed the breakfast seating in the restaurant. It turned put to be a blessing in disguise, since we got a table in the sun and ate at the dunes kiosk next door. What a great little place. Awesome fruit salad, campos coffee just the way I like it and a hearty b&e roll with a toasted sesame seed bum, what a great start to the Sunday!
Wonderful appearance, attentive staff and fabulous food! We ate pork belly, wild mushroom risotto, lemon tart and creme brulee. Best creme brulee I have ever had! If were out this way again will certainly go back!
Great starters mains, romantic setting. A great NB location for a quiet dinner and some quality starters and mains.Service was attentive.If you are a connoisseur of Sticky Date try one of their other deserts.
The batter was light and crisp, the fish was fresh and moorish, chips crunchy and the salad was dressed in a simple, but perfect sweet balsamic dressing.

Lovely setting for lunch in the park... Excellent service and attentive staff. Seafood menu is extensive and lots of good options... Lovely oysters!!!
Good food but service goes down the toilet when it gets busy as its under staffed.
