Dunkeld Birnam Golf Club

I was fortunate enough to play Dunkeld Birnam Golf Club in 2003 with a great Scottish friend of mine, who grew up in this beautiful part of Perthshire. The course was originally a 9 hole layout designed by the legendary Old Tom Morris, and had just been converted to a 18 hole course. It turned out to be a totally great experience, wonderful undulating golf course, with stunning and spectacular views, together with friendly people and staff. Even spotted deer crossing the fairway on a hole! I would certainly recommend visiting and playing Dunkeld to any avid golfer, and enjoying a tasty meal and some good Scottish hospitality after the round!

I love this golf course but it is very hilly and quirky. Any fitness or mobility issues get a buggy. Some amazing holes but be prepared to be frustrated as there are a lot if blind shots. One of the most beautiful opening holes anywhere Back nine is fairly flat, greens superb even in April. Give it a go! Decent catering and friendly staff

Love this club (I am a member). Amazing views from almost all the holes. Extremely well kept and in great condition, the green keepers do a fantastic job. Club house is modern and the view from the bar of the first fairway is magnificent. Totally recommend.
