I had been to the Trouville place which I loved, so when I found myself in Cabourg with my friend I suggested we go for a little afternoon treat at Dupont avec un Thé. The waiters were very nice and the sweet things were lovely. I had a hot chocolate which came with a blueberry (I think) macaroon, my friend had a tea with an assortment of tiny desserts which were as good as they looked. Oh and the décor is very charming, there 's a nice 'olden day ' feel to it!
Very attractive patisserie with lots of tables upstairs. We went for breakfast. We struggled a bit translating the menu but we concluded that Le Petit Dejeuner could have mixed Viennoise (Pain au Raisin and Croissant) p but if they were sold out it would be Pain or Chocolate then when they were gone it would be croissant and bread. Also comes with Yogurt, Orange Juice and a drink. It was nice but quite pricey.
We wanted to try Dupont avec un Thé. First try it was still close at 9h30 although announced it would open at 9. Then second try was OK. We got in, very friendly reception. The service was OK, the breakfast was way too simple for the price. It is a very good address for buying bakery and cake. But i chose different addresses next time time for breakfast. They were all as good, but much faster and cheaper.
buy excellent individual cakes and the price is high. The bread is good too. but at the hut with a dick for pastry and one for bakery. It's a normal time. And then for me, it's a red-hazard: a dog in the sales area while a sign indicates that dogs are forbidden it exasperates me and I imagine immediate concessions on hygiene ...
