Not sure how Durant's gets to be rated "best of Phoenix" so many years in a row. From entering the restaurant through the kitchen which creates a breeding ground for bacteria to the old school dreary, dated dining room....not a palatable and welcoming environment. Then the sticker shock of the menu for iceberg lettuce salads for oz filet. This is mainstay Phoenix, not New York City. Waiter was ok. Food was under seasoned.When we said we couldn't have any of the potato choices as an included side, we asked for a vegetable. We were charged extra. End of the meal we weren't asked if we wanted coffee. Won't return. So many better choices in the area
As a frequent diner in the states internationally, steak houses restaurants are abundant for example in NYC Scottsdale, Az. Life is based upon Utility Value". To order Caesar salads which include Anchovies be charged extra for the topping is totally unacceptable. Meal, drinks service was excellent. But value ? In the high rental district of NYC your entrance is not through the kitchen. Question this entrance from a Sanitary" aspect !!!!!!! As a
We loved it. This was our first visit. We split four courses so we could try many things. They cheerfully accommodated this and split every plate for us in the kitchen. We enjoyed every course. Our waiter's service was excellent. We definitely will be back
Great service by our Waiter, Jeff and the food was outstanding. The bottle of wine we had with our dinner, the Jamieson Ranch Vineyards Double Lariat Cabernet vintage was an excellent choice to compliment our steak dinner
