Duthy Street Deli - Reserva de mesa

Last time I visited Duthy Street I was really happy with what I had. It was a rage with garlic bread as a side and my mouth chewed and smiled. I sat outside because inside the place has a bit of an odd feel about it. I don't know what the odd feel is, I think it just lacks a bit of love, a bit of care to customer service. They are not nasty they just don't appreciate that you've chosen their place to eat.  Pretty extensive menu and they stay open latish in the afternoon but even when I lived closer I never found myself drawn to here. Nothing to do with the food though (coffee is good also) just the place. Sorry to be so vague but most would probably like it and therefore I would recomm...

Honest review here. Went there for breakfast around 10am on a weekday. Not very busy, so served quickly and courteously. Orderd the prosciutto eggs. Service - wow, unbelievably good. Asked how i'd like my coffee, and meal served in 5 mins flat. Faultless. Meal - absolutely spectacular in terms of presentation, taste quality and serving size. Coffee excellent. Only reason i did not give it a 5  was the balsamic vinegar they poured excessively all over the meal.  Just make sure to ask if you can have this on the side - whole meal tasted like balsamic rather than the eggs, bacon etc. Other than that, perfect. Bottom line - guaranteed fantastic breakfast. ! :)

Super bad and disrespectful customer service, I sent my chicken back, because for me, it was too under cooked (it was pink). I was then told by the waitress that it was thigh meat...thus its colour, I said that I would prefer it be cooked a bit longer and more thoroughly....then the cook came out to tell me why he wouldn't cook the chicken any further.....clearly there was no respect or care for the customer AT ALL. They never offered a replacement meal, nor a refund. As a local (literally around the corner), I will never go back there again, ever, and I will tell every person I come across to never go there.....bad bad service

Duthy Street Deli offers generous portions and are flexible with changes to your meal. Service: this can be a little bit hit and miss - today's service was good. Food: Today I enjoyed their poached eggs on Turkish bread with smoked salmon and avocado. The eggs were poached perfectly and the meal was lovely. The coffee was good too. This is a great cafe to visit if you feel like a breakfast classic (eggs Benedict). They have been a constant on the Adelaide brekky scene for years, which is great considering all the trendy, overpriced and sub-par cafes that are popping up all around Adelaide. Being located on Duthy Street this cafe gets a lot of passing trade. Service is average: haven't had any rude service as others mentioned. Coffee won't rate as great but it's passable when you need your caffeine hit. Food is a bit hit and miss. I had a muffin that was very dry (maybe been there for a while??). The interior of the cafe whilst spacious, gets dark the further back in the shop you go and there is frequently a pervading smell near the back of something not good... A bit like a septic tank smell??? Sit near front.

Sat down for a cup of cappuccino, it's one of my go-to drink to test out a barista from a new place. To be honest, it's sub-par. First of all the foam surface collapsed under a chunk of chocolate powder, as in the photo, the foam itself is not dense as it should be, and the coffee rather weak and bland. I suppose people come here for the food rather than coffee...

Can't recommend. Breakfast menu read well but food tasted really bland. Eggs tasted like milk, truffle oil was non existent, "slow oven roasted" mushrooms were watery and probably microwaved, even the toast was average. Coffees were good.

Quality food and service. We have been going to Duthy street deli for a number of years and have been delighted with all aspects. Joe the Barista is brilliant and staff have always been friendly to us. Reserva una mesa ahora

Absolutely delicious haloumi and pumpkin salad. Very generous serve of haloumi and fresh salad ingredients. Enjoyed it very much and will be back again.

Always nice coffee here friendly staff Only issue is steps getting in to shop for someone who struggled.
