A day off. I had a day off and took my better half to the cafe early in the morning. Had been there once before and loved the ambiance and escape from the streets. What better way to enjoy a good day off from work than a quiet friendly and well stocked cafe.Thank goodness they have a 10ft high menu, as i had forgotten my specs. The service was professional, friendly and the staff just made you feel welcome and at ease. Had the BLT Focaccia and didnt quite finish it when i made up my mind to get another for later. Last time I visited Duthy Street I was really happy with what I had. It was a rage with garlic bread as a side and my mouth chewed and smiled. I sat outside because inside the place has a bit of an odd feel about it. I don't know what the odd feel is, I think it just lacks a bit of love, a bit of care to customer service. They are not nasty they just don't appreciate that you've chosen their place to eat. <br/ <br/ Pretty extensive menu and they stay open latish in the afternoon but even when I lived closer I never found myself drawn to here. Honest review here.Went there for breakfast around 10am on a weekday. Not very busy, so served quickly and courteously.Orderd the prosciutto eggs.Service wow, unbelievably good. Asked how i'd like my coffee, and meal served in 5 mins flat. Faultless.Meal absolutely spectacular in terms of presentation, taste quality and serving size. Coffee excellent.Only reason i did not give it a 5  was the balsamic vinegar they poured excessively all over the meal. Just make sure to ask if you can have this on the side whole meal tasted like balsamic rather than the eggs, bacon etc.Other than that, perfect.Bottom line guaranteed fantastic breakfast. ! :

Duthy Street Deli offers generous portions and are flexible with changes to your meal.<br/ Service: this can be a little bit hit and miss today's service was good.<br/ <br/ Food: Today I enjoyed their poached eggs on Turkish bread with smoked salmon and avocado. The eggs were poached perfectly and the meal was lovely. The coffee was good too. This is a great cafe to visit if you feel like a breakfast classic (eggs Benedict).<br/ <br/ They have been a constant on the Adelaide brekky scene for years, which is great considering all the trendy, overpriced and sub par cafes that are popping up all around Adelaide. New chef has been on board for 5 months. I've been a semi regular at this Duthy Street staple for a while now and sampled a big part of the menu. The servings are generous almost too big. French Toast with 2 poached eggs, candied bacon makes for a decadent breakfast and their lunch options are many with Harris smoked salmon Brucshetta and Haloumi Roast Pumpkin Salad being popular favourites of mine. Worth a revisit if you haven't been in for a while.

I do love this place, I've previously had awesome coffee here and the staff are nice; but today wasn't a great experience my mocha had no coffee, and sitting outside there is a definite stink coming from an open drain near the cafe kitchen. Hardly ideal!

Quality food and service. We have been going to Duthy street deli for a number of years and have been delighted with all aspects. Joe the Barista is brilliant and staff have always been friendly to us.

Consistently good food. Love the poached eggs with hollandaise. Fab coffee!
