We stayed at the Domaine de Tortiniere in nearby Veigne. Disappointed by a 60euro breakfast for a family of 4 the day before, we strolled into Montbazon looking for an alternative. We stumbled on Dutrion Giles in the main square of this cute little town and we're thrilled to have found this Boulangerie. The family agreed this was our favorite pastry shop in our week long tour of France (we made a point of visiting some of the most acclaimed patisseries in Paris). My son, a self declared expert on Chausson aux Pommes, declared this version the best he has had. The brioche was excellent and we had to turn around and make a trip back for a second serving of their chocolate bread (which my wife said was the best thing she had eaten on the entire trip). For the 60 euro we spent at Tortiniere we could have bought one of everything here. I'd highly recommend this to anyone staying there as a breakfast alternative and would even suggest making a detour for this authentic, delicious patisserie.

we were in chateau d’artigny and woke up to late to enjoy the breakfast, so we decided to go to montbazon for some coffee and eat. in the center of montbazon we found this hidden gem. they have standard espresso, but the pastries. were amazing. I liked the chiolokalte brot. we did not try the desserts, but they looked delicios. it is a small place so they have no place to sit.
