Great spot, great food, and great staff. Nipped in on Wednesday night without a booking after just looking for anywhere in Chester city centre. It's in a great spot with loads of character between the main city centre drag and the cathedral, and has been really well done out inside. Staff were really friendly and sorted us quickly. Very modern pub menu that offers traditional classics alongside what I'd call fusion dishes. My steak was cooked perfectly, and my wife had a number of the sides as a tapas style main. All really good portions, but also all well cooked, and well thought out with the fusion style stuff.
Had lunch at Dutton's yesterday after walking past earlier in the day thinking that looks good place to have lunch we were then given 10% off voucher in town. We both really enjoyed our food, my roast beef dinner was beautiful the meat was tender the veg so tasty and presented piping hot. My husband had the smoked fish dish with poached egg which he said was really good. We had a couple of drinks and cheesecake altogether was very reasonable and enjoyed. Staff were especially lovely, polite, cheerful and helpful. Won't hesitate to return next time we visit Chester.
Stumbled across this place whilst trying to find somewhere for dinner without a booking on a Saturday night. Good value menu at 3 courses for £19 including steak option. Pâté starter was tasty but could have done with another slice of toast. Gluten free option available on the bread. Steak, fries and peppercorn sauce main was a good size and steak was cooked nicely. Dessert option of rocky road sundae appeared to be missing any ice cream, but the brownie and marshmallows were good! Cocktails were nice. Recommend the after midnight martini!
What a wonderful place! I have eaten here twice in the last 3 days....the first time on the recommendation of a friend I was with and today I returned with my husband who was equally as impressed. The greeter was very friendly and professional and our waitress on both occasions Petra was great! First class service and excellent food in a lovely environment.

Wow wow wow what a brilliant place came here for a Sunday lunch with my partner the service was beyond excellent everyone was lovely as for the beef that was outstanding will definetly be visiting here again and would 100% recommend it to anyone that likes a chilled out atmosphere and a cracking Sunday dinner
A very nice place in the middle of city. Well behaved staff, good ambiance and tasty food. We had a lot of fun and time was well Spent. The platters were tasty and drinks were great.
best full English breakfast in chester. trust me, we have eaten everywhere and duttons is about a mile the best quality for the price. also they can get a beer at 10 o'clock haha.
this place is a hidden gem! came for our jubile meal and have to say that the food was amazing and the service was exceptional will definitely be revisit and highly recommend

The place is buzzin with a great atmosphere staff are lovely and chatty and the food is excellent! Great venue for meeting friends and celebrations! Or a tasty lunch!
Pleasant staff, no rushing you with your food. Had the traditional Sunday roast. Vegetables cooked to perfection would recommend.
