I was wandering around town looking for somewhere to sit down and eat with a friend from outside the area and my wife. My friend and I had had a lot to drink and were feeling a little worse for wear, although still polite, concious and aware of others. We came in here because it looked clean and inviting and didn't look too busy. None of us had eaten at a Polish restaurant before so didn't really know what to expect. Anyway, the staff were helpful and friendly and we chose our dishes from the menu: I had what I think was called a beef stroganoff pancake with chopped veg (like the stuff you get with a takeaway Kebeb). visited with friends in the evening . you can take your own alcohol which brings down the cost of your evening out. The menu is small but for me that is good as I can spend ages deciding what I want. The starters came out and my friends had beetroot soup with croquettes which they said was amazing. the croquettes were huge. the main courses were lovely and came out on massive plates and then although we were all stuffed we managed a pudding which was home cooked cake and we also shared Belgian waffle. the price was reasonable and the food was lovely. cant wait to make a return visit. A hidden treasure.
I went with my Polish girlfriend and she said this was very typical Polish cuisine and it was very nice! Quite a short menu and opening hours are geared towards the Polish eat after work ethic, rather than up all night. Soft drinks on offer but you can bring your own beer (4 off licences on this street!! and it was clean and nicely set out! Friendly staff and they were welcoming to English, Polish and other nationalities alike! A little slice of Poland in Wellingborough!
We had our first taste of Polish cuisine at this restaurant and we loved it. The staff made us feel very welcome and answered all our questions about the food. Everyone was lovely. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. I had to take half of my tasty beef goulash home because it was so much! We will definitely be back soon and have already suggested it to our friends!

Dworek offers home-cooked, comforting Polish food. As previous reviewers have mentioned, the portion sizes are huge (although they were quite happy to let me take some of my pierogi (dumplings) home with me) and it's incredibly good value. The food is very well made, especially the desserts which, although you may be stuffed, are well worth trying to make space for.
We recently visited this restaurant and I was nicely surprised with high food quality and plenty of different Polish dishes to pick. Food was very tasty and freshly made, also friendly and helpful staff. Jabłecznik dessert had amazing flavour profile! This is also a great spot to go and enjoy a pint with friends. Nice place to visit again.

I came across this restaurant on Trip Advisor and was intrigued by the idea of trying Polish cuisine. The establishment, now known as 'The Folk House,' served delicious food in generous portions and provided a warm, friendly atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it.

I had never been to a Polish restaurant before Dvorek, but it's definitely worth a visit if you haven't already. The food is hearty, the portions are generous, and the value is excellent. You won't be disappointed!
