again disappointed about salted anemic soggy chips and runny gravy $15 even if they ask for crispy, only enough for 4 pages serves then they fall apart as u eat them. il stick with balaclava fish also if I have to wait, I mean, a phone order should be more than 5mins chips should golden and swim, so they know that they are ready. Don't worry that iw lost the number.
Absolutely lovely. The lady at the counter was very friendly and greeted us as we walked in which is unusual these days. We got 2 lots of fish and chips with a can for $10 a hit. Couldn't be happier with the meal and gave us free tartare sauce. We'll be back there next time we're in Cairns. Definitely would recommend this business judged on that day.
On a day when had spent time on the road we wanted something simple and edible to eat for our dinner. What's better than fish and chips? This place had great service, friendly staff and the food was wonderful. They cook everything fresh so it hasn't been languishing in a bain marie for hours and that makes for great fish and chips.
We all got Sick even the next day we ordered Mackrell and so called chips we ate the fish and soon after we were all spewing in our toilet I rang them to explain about what happened and they didn't even apologise very poor and off fish and stale chips if you want fish and chips keep driving or enter at own risk. Looking at the menu I was deciding if I should get the basket for 1 or 2 thinking 1 wouldn't be enough (I was starving) but I struggled with the basket for 1 it was plenty couldn't get thru it all and great service nice food!
Best fish and chips in Cairns. The service is fast and reliable, they can take your order and have your meal prepared before you arrive. Staff are friendly and nice and the food is genuine goodness!
