First off I parked on the wrong side so the fence forced me to walk in the snowy parking lot. Maybe open the gates during the winter? I have been here before, but my first time sitting in the plastic lawn chairs. Odd choice for a restaurant. The bacon was good, decent portion for the $18.99 price tag. The biscuits are huge, although they were covered in gravy, the biscuit was stacked, so the bottom one was dry. Grandma's biscuits were never dry. The hashbrowns are casserole style so no crispiness at all, they taste OK but again not enough gravy to help them out. We sat near the kitchen so we had front row seats to the singing cook. Straight up opera style yelling as loud as he possibly could...
Delicious breakfast option in the West Des Moines/Waukee area. So many traditional American breakfast dishes that are made just right. Early Saturday mornings are the jam but can be super busy by 7:00am! It?s a hit so be mindful of possibly waiting for a table anything after 8:00. Environment is loud. Decor is bright and sunny. Almost too bright for some who desire a calm place to eat. I?ve appreciated the vegan dishes! Vegan hash and vegan tacos. Everything hasbeen consistently delicious. Kid and family friendly environment. Ok for early morning dates but don?t expect quiet talk. I recommend for a breakfast cafe for the west side of town and a great option to please any food preference crow...
Don?t get me wrong this place has a great atmosphere, was very crowded, and had great coffee. That being said, no issues with the service or with making reservations, just really the lack of flavor. I got a **** Mary and this behemoth of a breakfast burrito. Overall the food was pretty bland. The presentation was phenomenal, however looks were deceiving. If you don?t care about amazing mouth watering flavor, and only the amount of food you get for your money then this placeis for you. Also, both my wife and I got sick within 15 minutes after eating here, so that was not very pleasant.
We had a great brunch on Sunday! The two servers that waited on our group (we ended up with 12 because of a friend emergency) we’re out of this world good. Main server talked with all of the kids (6 between the ages of 3 13), orders were perfect, and I don’t think my coffee cup ever went below half full. I've rarely had this type of experience when a place was half full, let alone at the peak of their rush. Well done, Early Bird. We will definitely be back!
Absolutely delicious! The menu is so jam packed full of amazing choices it was hard to choose. We had the Breakfast Nachos, Chicken Fried Steak and Hash Holes. All of it was so good. The Hash Holes were to die for and perfectly cooked. Their coffee was perfect. Service was attentive, prompt. Allison, our server, was very friendly and helpful. We will absolutely be back and we?re telling all our friends.
Wait can be really long for a weekend brunch. Put your name in line on Yelp and you will get notified when you should arrive. Service was very nice and friendly. Everything we ordered was really awesome and prices are fair. The breakfast cocktails are a refreshing option to the standard mimosa's and much welcomed.
