The kids chillers are pretty neat, although tasted awful , they looked good and the kids enjoyed . The free bread was served before the meal was delicious, I’ve never tasted bread so good. The main courses were the complete opposite. One kid had pizza from the kids meal choice and I had pizza also, just in a larger size, it was gross, we both didn’t eat it , far from an Italian pizza that’s for sure. My husband ordered the Linguine Chicken Tetrazzini, he enjoyed it in all fairness , but didn’t get the soup that came with it that he ordered. We both just drank water and it tasted like sewer water . Extremely expensive for gross food. Dessert was advertised on the kids menu as a chocolate brow...

My recent visit to East Side Mario's for lunch left me thoroughly impressed. From the cozy ambiance to the attentive staff, every aspect of my experience was delightful.The restaurant provided a charming and cozy setting, with a spacious parking area that added convenience for customers.The owner/manager greeted us warmly, and our server was exceptionally friendly and attentive throughout the meal.The calamari I ordered was cooked to perfection, crispy and accompanied by a delicious dipping sauce. Disappointing. Thought we were in for some Italian food with an Italian atmosphere. Not so. More of a sports bar atmosphere and, although the menu was Italian, it was more of a commercial style food. Televisions in our booth and in every corner playing sports and Sports Jerseys hanging all over the place really detracts from what could have been a cute restaurant. A big thumbs down came from Taylor Swift and Eminem playing as the background music. Food was good, but did not have the Italian flair I was hoping for. Maybe my expectations were too high, but if you crossed a sports bar with Olive Garden, then Mario 's is what you get.

My goodness. What a treat! We came for a dinner (6 adults/4 teenagers) the teenagers sat in one side and adults in the other…our host was so engaging, with a sense of humour. I ordered a GF pasta and he came out with everyone else’s dishes and then mine, see photo below, he says, who ordered the aft, and placed it down and walked away ? a minute later he came with ‘the rest of my meal’ plated. Amazing place to visit. This is our 2nd year coming to Cranbrook for our annual golf trip and this is our place for the champions dinner!!!Ray and his staff are incredible!!! Food is incredible!!!! Service is incredible!!! They really get what customer service Is all about. Will definitely be back for a 3rd year…..and will stop in anytime we are in the area.

The owner Ray stopped at our table to say HI. The staff was great. Attentive to the 9 people in our group. The food was fresh. The sausage and pepper penne was nice and spicy just the way I like it. My wife really enjoyed the seafood linguine. The Tira misu has been reduced in size like everything these days but was very tasty.

The food was great but the service, out of this world. Cracking jokes, bringing as much bread as we wanted. Loved it, will definitely come again and definitely recommend!
