We both noticed dishes we chose from the warming trays at the buffet-style service were warm, not steaming hot. We noticed this in two different dishes, one, noodles and the other a broccoli stir-fry. We'd eaten at Eastern Wok before without incident, but this time, within 24 hours my husband (who had the noodles) had diarrhoea and stomach cramps which we blamed on this dining experience because all other meals were home-cooked, using fresh ingredients. We dined at approximately 11:30 a.m and began to wonder if the two dishes were rewarmed left-overs from the previous day.
We ordered take-out today and it was incredibly disappointing. We opted for the six item selection but ended up throwing everything in the trash except for the rice and noodles. Even those were not great, but we were hungry so we managed to eat them. The chicken, pork bites, and Ginger Beef were all inedible - the meat was tough and impossible to chew. After hearing about others getting sick from this place, we were worried about our own health. Overall, a terrible experience. Do not recommend dining here.
