If you love good food a casual and classy atmosphere and fantastic live jazz on the weekends, the Eastgate Cafe is made for you. Located in Chicago's historic Oak Park, this basement Bistro is a hidden gem that will always satisfy and often amaze. You must go there! Sorry folks. The delightful Eastgate and it's monumental jazz jam are now closed. The owners are moving out of state and the future of the venue is unknown.

Great experience! We came in on a Saturday and they had live music! We definitely enjoyed ourselves and I would recommend this restaurant to friends and family. Owners Pat and Olia have something special in the heart of Oak Park.

Food and people who run the place are amazing. The second I walked in I was greeted, seated and offered some of the best pasta I’ve ever had. Love this place and definitely coming back for seconds

This cafe is utterly charming! The food is lovely, the surroundings comfortable and homey, and the atmosphere serene and welcoming. We'll definitely be back.
