Myself and 3 of my friends waited to be seated for over 45 minutes in a large que, only to be told when we reached the top of the que that the kitchen will not be taking orders for another 10-20 minutes and we were told there was no point in waiting any longer. This was extremely disappointing. Additionally as we waited, we observed the floor staff inside the restaurant loitering and slowing clearing tables. This may have lead to a backlog in the kitchen. There was also very few floor staff visible, which is an understaffing issue. Lastly, when we complained that the staff should not allowed a large que to build up outside before telling us that queing was pointless, we were further perturbe...
Just terrible. We were shown to a booth quickly but it went down hill then! Waited 15 mins for the one person taking orders to come to us and even then it was only after I asked. Waited over half an hour for our food and when it arrived both dishes were luke warm because they'd been sat out so long. We weren't the only ones other people were waiting long times and complaining too. There were two young lads floating about bringing orders but not taking them. This is by far the worst Eddie Rockets I've been too the branches in Drogheda and Dublin are miles better with great service. I advised one couple who were waiting for a table to go elsewhere as it was so awful.
I brought a friend to Eddie Rockets for the first time and I must say, I was embarrassed by the experience. We waited 25 minutes to place our order, and I had to approach the manager to finally get our order taken. After waiting another 45 minutes, I had to ask the waitress how much longer it would be. She said she would check but never returned. There were no apologies or explanations given. When the food finally arrived, it was disappointing. The spice bag basket had no flavor at all. I will not be returning to the Eddie Rockets at the Quays. They need to seriously review their staff, management, and food quality.
Decided to stop for lunch as it didn’t seem very busy. Shown to our table by the waitress and she took our order. Arrived with our drinks(tea). After waiting for 40 minutes and still no food we cancelled our order and left. There was only one cook and one waitress in the restaurant. The other cook was eating his lunch in a booth and the second waitress left after showing us to our table and didn’t return to the restaurant while we were there. We won’t be returning to Eddie rockets until they improve on customer service and certainly won’t recommend this place to any of our family or friends.

I visited Eddie Rockets for breakfast on St. Patrick's morning. I was the first one in the building at 11am with my sister and three kids. It took a long time to take our order and we waited over an hour for our food to arrive. People who came in after us were served before we got our order. By the time the food finally arrived, I had to leave at 12pm as the kids were in the parade at noon, so we didn't have time to eat. My niece's pancakes were undercooked and overall it was an unpleasant experience. This £50 breakfast was overpriced, with poor staff, and I will not be returning.
Very disappointing. We couldn’t even eat the meal that was served, half the fries were undercooked hard in centre, chicken was squishy and even the gravy had big lumps of lumpy skin which could easily have been avoided by staff when filling the little gravy dishes. Should have left when I noticed a layer of grease floating on the top of our tumblers of coke before meal arrived. When paying staff member asked was everything ok and I said no, her response was ‘oh’. I paid the over priced amount and left.
The restaurant was dirty and the service was terrible. The food was warm but not very good, and we witnessed the chef touching food with his bare hands. One of my friends even found something floating in their drink. We were left waiting for 10 minutes while the waitress just sat there, and then she cleaned our table with window cleaner. It was a terrible experience and we both feel sick now. The floor was sticky and the cutlery had fingerprints on it. We will definitely not be returning.
I remember visiting here 2 years ago and it was not good but things have changed. I had the Vegan truffle burger which was absolutely delicious with onion rings and mushrooms and my better half had the Kitchen sink nachos. My wife being American is fussy about her nachos and milk shakes but did not complain and said they were excellent so well done Eddy Rockets Newry for a lovely lunch. PS the service was 10/10 very friendly all round.

had to ask staff to take our order after waiting a while. Woman that took our order had no manners whatsoever and had no respect towards my family. Asked what drink we want and before we got to answer she aggressively and impatiently asked the same question again. Her name on receipt was Laura W but not sure if it’s the same girl who took our order
Food was very very poor hygiene standards really need looking at staff unprofessional and don't seem to care at all... not typical for Eddie rockets which is usually a nice experience
