The atmosphere here is very warm, casual and friendly. Great for the kids and to catch up with friends. Food is generally very good with great curries, unfortunately the menu has changed recently with standard "pub fare" removed and prices hiked up. Portions are also huge, seems they are now missing their market - bring back the schnitzel! Im sure that people (surrounding locals) would rather have a standard size meal at less cost, than an oversized meal that can't be finished, at more cost.There was a great soloist playing last night - above average entertainment from Kaboom.
Visited for the first time with a group of friends. Ordered the $20 streak 'medium rare' and my wife ordered lamb shanks. Steak was cooked 'well done' and was lacking flavour. The mushroom sauce was watery and also lacked flavour. My wife was served two large shanks. They looked good but again very bland. If we visit again, we won't be spending money to eat. They're fortunate that their regulars dine with them.
Staff here are really friendly and a lot of locals attend. There is a family friendly feel and it is easy to take kids here. Food seems to be still finding it's own mark. Recently the menu changed to be similar to Mondo's however this bumped up the price and the cheap local is now not so cheap and food is taking longer to arrive. Curries are great though and so are the staff.
As a Local and a regular I was delighted with the new dinner menu. Spoilt for choice. I had the the Fish of the day which came with a greek salad while my wife who wasn't so hungry had the tasty barramundi spring rolls.Great food at great price .......and just three blocks from home.

Needing to meet a client of mine in the Edge Hill area for lunch, he chose this club as it was in walking distance from his business in Collins Street, Edge Hill. So, we had the roast of the day (pork) with all the trimmings and a beer from the bar. Good healthy tucker.
Crackerjack is alive and well at the Edge Hill Bowls Club. Yes there is a mix of age and youth. Good greens, food is hit and miss depending on the caterer in the kitchen. Be there Friday night for the raffles.

Extremely friendly and great food. Beer on tap is exceptional as well. Chef is the best and is very friendly! Got to see this place????????

This is the club were locals met mainly on a friday night for drinks raffles and nice food. Normally live music plays there.
We had a function here and the food was excellent, drink prices were great and the hospitality was very warm and friendly.
