We normally never have a bad experience at starfish. However, last night was an exception. Generally, the sushi was as good as normal, however, my wife ordered, salmon nigiri, and the salmon was very tough. Also, whenever we go in there to have dinner, which is probably two times per month, we are offered a chefs appetizer free of charge. However, last night, all the other tables were offered that appetizer except for ours. Finally, it was extremely loud in the restaurant last night. There was a table of kids directly behind us, who were playing loud video games and music while a table of men in their early 60s were extremely loud and boisterous. Our party of 5 went here for dinner after a show at the Marriott Lincolnshire. The food was fantastic and the presentation was outstanding! We had no issues with the food. The service started off poor. We had a 7:00 reservation and were seated a few minutes early, but the server didn't take our drink orders until 7:15. We didn't receive anything until 7:28. Once management was aware that we weren't happy with the service, they were very attentive. Our food was served quickly. Then our empty dishes sat for a long time. We had to ask someone to clear our table. Everyone was kind and knowledgeable about the fish, but the service can be improved.

This is one of our ‘go to ' sushi restaurants, so we are here multiple times a year. Today, the sushi chef out did himself. He was extremely informative and made great choices. After today, it will likely be ‘the go to, ' as long as the quality and variety of the nilgiri remains at this level.

Starfish is amazing. We go there all the time and are never disappointed. This time we wanted to do vegetarian sushi and our waitress was so helpful explaining the different options. Everyone got what they wanted and had a wonderful evening!

The sushi was so fresh and flavorful and beautifully presented. The cocktails were excellent. The service was top notch and the restaurant gave us several complimentary appetizers. Everyone at our table was completely happy and impressed.
