We were visiting Hamburg the first time and wanted to eat local in a typical German establishment. I have been a waitress for years during university, and would have never imagined someone would not be fired for the absolutely disgustingly rude customer service we...experienced at EierCarl. A younger man with blonde hair, and a brunette woman (around mid who obviously lack in any common manners were extremely rude to me and my peers. The man called us stupid multiple times when we asked about the meaning of Alsterwasser obviously entertained by himself by his shocking behaviour. Actually everything was reserved and due to unfortunate circumstances we were allowed to eat something. Unfortunately, this caused stress for the hosts, which I was very sorry about. And then still remaining super super friendly and wanting to do everything for the guests is not a given and should be emphasized like that! Thank you anyway for the delicious food and the northern German atmosphere :
Visited with my Wife and Daughter. The Labskaus was a new dish for me, and was really good. The herring was delicious. My wife and daughter had the currywurst, which was also a first for them. Spicy, but not overpowering. All fairly priced too.
Ratsherrn beers sold on tap and in bottles. Also selling flavoured eggnog. We spent New Year’s Eve there and it was great. Decent food and good service. Strolled our at to the water and watched the fireworks.

Very traditional bar restaurant in Hamburg Port. Great decor, relaxed but attentive service, good food and cornucopia of traditional fittings, fixtures and artefacts. Check out the divers helmet.
We were here twice and both times everything was perfect and the food was also very tasty. The service is very friendly and nice. If we are here again I would definitely come here again.
Only the friendly waiters get these 5 stars from me. The boss was rude to us and had an angry look. If we hadn't already ordered the food, we would have gone again.
Food was good, service by the guy with the hat even better, eggnog amazing. We had around shots each and really enjoyed our evening. Not to expensive. Will go back.

Local Restaurant and bar with tasty regional food and beer. Speciality: different kinds of Egg liqueurs. Wounderful view to the fish market and to the harbor.
