The service at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. I waited for 5 minutes without anyone offering to help me with my bagel order. When I finally asked for assistance, I was told that I had to place my order at a different counter. I requested to have my bagel toasted, only to be told that they do not offer that service. When I went to pay, the cashier was silent and did not inform me of the total price. Another customer asked for pepper and was rudely directed to find it themselves. The cashier then ran off without explanation. Overall, the service was bizarre and unprofessional. I would not recommend this place due to their lazy and unhelpful attitude. I used to enjoy their bagel sandwiches at the Champaign, IL and Wheaton locations before they closed. However, the Glen Ellyn location has consistently let me down. My last visit was a disaster, with my entire order being wrong and missing key ingredients. The staff blamed it on mixing up orders and I couldn't even speak to a manager to address the issue. Despite friendly staff, the service here is the worst I've ever experienced. I waited over 30 minutes for incorrect sandwiches. Unless you have endless patience and time to spare, I wouldn't recommend dining here in Glen Ellyn's downtown area.
I had the please if buying bagels at open the staff were ready and sharp to task with smiles and info.. I was impressed by the young staff working so early and being so we'll taught it showed the GM had high standards of service it's fantastic. I was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful aroma and flavor of the smoked salmon in the Nova Lux Sandwich, complemented by peas that resembled capers. The bread was perfectly toasted. However, I did feel a bit disconnected from the staff during my interactions, but perhaps that was just a one-off situation.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly when there was an issue with my previous order. They honored both the earlier deal and my birthday egg sandwich, which I really appreciated. The food was delicious as well! This time, I tried the hash browns, and it was an excellent choice!
I had the most delicious turkey and cheddar bagel today! It's becoming increasingly difficult to find a good bagel shop, so I'm really glad this one is still open in Glen Ellyn.
Good food. Good service. Just check your order to make sure you have everything you have ordered. We are sometimes short.
