On December 13th, I ordered the baker's dozen box, which was advertised online to include one tub of simple glamour and one tub of garden veggie shmear. The description also mentioned that flavor substitutions could be made in-store, which I specifically requested. However, when I picked up my order, I received two tubs of smooth beats instead. I politely asked the staff member at the pickup table if I could have the veggie shmear as originally included. She responded that I needed to call ahead because the veggie shmear isn’t included by default. No matter which Einstein Bros Bagels I visit, I usually have difficulty ordering a bagel with sausage and cheese but no egg. The cashiers often seem confused because their POS system doesn't easily allow removing the egg from a sandwich. However, the cashier at this location handled it expertly. She took her time, figured it out, and realized she needed to ring up the bagel, cheese, and sausage separately to leave out the egg. This not only saved me from paying for something I didn’t want but also knocked a dollar off my sandwich. If you want a place that employs thoughtful staff who can accommodate special requests like no egg, this is definitely the spot.

The bagels we got were flavorful, but we were let down when some of the specialty bagels we ordered were replaced with plain ones without any notification. Although the app warned about possible shortages, we weren’t informed about the substitutions when we picked up our order. This experience has made us rethink using app ordering in the future.

I arrived with my baby in a stroller and my laptop ready for some work and food, only to discover that the entire dining room was closed. I find it a bit odd, especially in March 2022, to have a closed dining area. It seems like they missed out on many customers. I ended up going to Starbucks across the street for my needs. The staff was incredibly friendly, and Erika made my drinks with such kindness! It was definitely a wonderful way to start my morning. The place was clean, masks are still thankfully required, and the food was tasty. I’ll definitely be returning!

While I enjoy the bagels here, I do not enjoy interacting with the older woman that is working about 80% of the mornings I visit this location. Somewhat passive aggressive in my opinion.

It's October 2022, and they still have the dining room closed? The food is decent, but the building itself is in poor condition.
