I had booked a table for 1800.It was a Friday evening. I arrived at 1750 and were shown to our table. We were given a food and drinks menu. 20 minutes later someone came and asked if would like a drink. Drinks were ordered as was the food. The drinks came quickly. Now a Bistro Mr Deanes. love Fish has been rebranded. Only reopened last week but I must say everything was 100% Food. We shared the tempura prawns with a delicious sauce. The batter was so light top marks for this starter I ordered the scallops with a tomato risotto. Scallops cooked beautifully and the tomato risotto had so much flavour a dish I have never had before but will definitely have again. My friend had the fish and chips set on a bed of pea puree. Came here for the 60 pound tasting menu. From the moment we walked through the door, till the moment we left, we had never experienced such polite, informative, warm and professional staff. They really made my birthday that little bit more special. Myself and my partner don't eat lamb but this was not a problem in the slightest and we chose a dish from a different menu. We were looking forward to eating in the rebranded Mr Deans , I had the worst fish I have had in Ireland, it was quite tasteless , served with sloppy creamed potatoes and a few meagre strips of seaweed. My husband had asked for his peppered steak rare and spoke in French to the French waiter to make sure he understood . Sadly it arrived overcooked and when he said to the manageress she said because it was served with pepper sauce it cannot come pink!! Food fabulous!!! And the service superb!!! I have never experienced the professionalism of how this restaurant accommodated my food intolerances. I was speechless!! Thank you!! Hats off to mrDeanes, 11 out of 10.
Food could not be faulted but staff did not engage at all, was our 54th wedding anniversary, no opportunity to mention that all felt slightly robotic. Been going her over many years but maybe done…

After a disappointing greeting at Darcy’s (truly awful)wedding ended up at Mr Deanne’s for lunch. Great service, great food and lovely welcoming atmosphere.
Excellent lunch, highly recommend. Lots of gluten free options for coeliac with separate gluten free fryers and homemade GF batter.
