As an Eberstadter you should have been in the ice Dolomiti. Since my childhood, I have been regularly at Dolomiti and always feel welcome. The Dolomiti ice cream coffee has been a family-run restaurant in Eberstadt with excellent self-made ice cream for many years. The ice cream coffee is absolutely recommended for visits. The owners are traditional and authentic anyway. As a customer you feel very open and very satisfied there. No, it is not the best gelato in Darmstadt, but better than most of the other gelaterias (maybe except Cafe Venedig and Coccola that are still my favourites in Darmstadt). The gelato is not too sweet and not too creamy, just as it should be. All flavours I tried were really good but not exceptional. Scoops are not huge for the price of 1,10 Euro and the fact that the cafe is is the middle of nowhere makes it feel even more expensive. Location and outside seating in the shadow is very nice, service is very friendly.
The Dolomiti is history . For many years they have enjoyed us with delicious ice cream and with a friendly humor, a lot, a lot!For DANKE to the whole family of Calchera! This gelateria offers "good old Italian" gelato and the flavors are traditional but all the ones I tried were really good.Service was very friendly and the outdoor shady seating invites you to stay longer.Price wise a little high considering the fact that it is not in the city centre but in Eberstadt. Since the change of owner unfortunately underground, everything has become more sweet and tastes more artificial. Before that, everything tasted much more real. Before, I had given the ice cream cafe 5 stars, the operation etc. was also much more friendly ( now also gives only self-service!
